Alameda Lodging and Transportation

Please make your hotel reservations prior to 10 July 2008 in order to receive the government rate.

The hotel is the Executive Inn, 1755 Embarcadero, Oakland, CA 94606. The direct phone number is 510-536-6633 and toll free is 800-346-6331 or you can go on-line to www.executiveinnoakland.com. Please give them the Group Number "GR253GG" in order to get the Government rate of $99.00 per day.

The hotel has a shuttle service if you fly into Oakland. Do not fly into San Francisco as the traffic between SF Airport and Oakland is very bad and it is quite a long distance.  We will have transportation available to and from the hotel to the classroom and to dinner in the evening.

We will eat lunch in the galley or the Base Exchange has a Subway sandwich shop. The classroom is in Bldg 3, the Base Exchange is the building next to it, and the galley is approximately two city blocks away.

Important Travel Message:/font>
Travel arrangements should be made through a government contracted Travel agency.  Failure to use a government contracted travel agency will result in the traveler assuming all liability for costs due to changes and cancellation in orders.  Your DIRAUX can provide information on the government contracted travel agency for your region.  A recommended government contracted national travel agency is SATO (800 753-7286).  If you use SATO, you will need to provide SATO with the Travel Orders Number (TONO) found on your orders to book your travel.

Here's additional information about using SATO
