Air Transportation:
  • All travel reservations should be made through a government contracted travel agency...call SATO at 800-265-6862 or 816-350-0115, after hours call 800-827-7777.  A copy of our orders must be faxed to SATO at 816-350-8629.
  • You will arrive at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport (Airport Code: STL)

Ground Transportation: Various Transportation Options:
  • MetroLink: From the Airport to the Civic Center is the most economical.  Look for the MetroLink signs at the airport.  See their site at http://www.metrostlouis.org/MetroLink/stationlist.asp and a map from Lambert-St. Louis International Airport to the Civic Center stop.
  • Taxans Xpress, (314) 427-3311:  The cost of this shuttle service from the airport to our hotel is $15 one way, $25 round trip, and they have a counter across from the M2 carousel at the airport.  They run every 1/2 hour.
  • Taxi Cab:  This is the most expensive...expect to pay approx. $30 one-way.
  • No rental car authorized:  Lodging is across the street from the Metrolink Station (Civic Center Stop, just one stop past Union Station), so no rental car will be necessary.  See map of area. 
  • Hotel to the Federal Building: The hotel is only 2-blocks from the Federal Building...a five minute walk.

Lodging:

Note: the lodging location might change as we closer to the class date.

Lodging will be at the Sheraton Hotel, 400 South 14th Street, St. Louis MO 63103.  Reservations must be made by calling 314-231-5007 or FAX 314-231-5008.   Reservations are reserved under the name of "Coast Guard Auxiliary."  Rooms are $98.00 Room rate, there is a $10.00 per day parking fee at the hotel.  Parking at the Federal building is $5.50 per day.  Sheraton City Center website
Uniforms: Tropical Blue Long.  Tropical Blue Long on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, unless otherwise directed.  Members are directed to the Auxiliary Manual M16790.1F for information on this uniform. Chapter 10 (Uniforms), pages 10-50 & 10-51 for Men and pages 10-80 & 10-81 for women.  Alternate uniform is the Auxiliary Blazer as described on page 10-19.
Training Location and dates: Robert A. Young Federal Building

Training will be held on Friday from 0800 to 1700, Saturday from 0800 to 1700 and Sunday from 0800 to 1200 at the Robert A. Young (RAY) Federal Building in the Electronics Support Unit Training Room. The total hours for the course is 20 hours.  See map for the locations of the hotel and RAY building.

Security Access to the Federal Building: Current Auxiliary ID is required to enter the RAY Federal Building!
